Magnetic transitions and different valence states of manganese ions in solid solutions (Ni,Cu,Mn)-=SUB=-3-=/SUB=-BO-=SUB=-5-=/SUB=-

The content of metal ions and their valence state for three Ni x Cu y Mn 3-x-y BO 5 compositions were estimated by EXAFS XANES spectroscopy methods. In all compositions, the copper did not exceed 0.25; in third composition, some manganese entered compound only trivalent, but also divalent state. A detailed study magnetic properties showed that two transitions are observed compositions: one region 60-75 K, second 10 K. Based on exchange interactions calculated within framework empirical model, ordering temperatures two- three-lattice magnets determined it was assumed transition K is associated with moments positions 2 3.
